The idea for Divine Pearl Collective was manifested on a mountain top in Sedona while on retreat healing from corporate, after a 20 year corporate marketing career.
That day I decided to take a leap into entrepreneurship with the goal of offering accessible business mentorship and marketing guidance so small businesses in the wellness industry.
The Origin of the Name
Pearls are considered in many traditions and spiritual groups as a beacon of light, igniting awareness, wisdom and connection to the divine.
Pearls are created when an irritant causes the formation of a luminescent coating inside the oyster, making the pearl the only gem created as a by-product of a creature choosing self-nurture.
Similar to how pearls are formed in nature, finding the courage to heal from corporate burnout using holistic healing practices, lead me to find purpose in my passion while leveraging my technical marketing skillset.
My Story
Meet Founder: Jenny Lazo
Founder of Divine Pearl Collective & New Earth Dreamz
Born and raised in Miami by Cuban immigrant parents, I didn’t have the opportunity to witness or be inspired by a successful women-owned business.
Graduating in the top 5% of my 800 student graduating high school class and getting a full scholarship to FIU to study Communications, I had the drive, and street and book smarts to outwork anyone in the room. As I continued to grow in my career, achieving an MBA in 2011, I was headhunted by Amazon while working at Ryder Transportation, and moved to Seattle in 2016.
After 5 years at Amazon climbing the corporate ladder, I looked back at my 18 year career and found myself lacking purpose, experiencing burnout, and health issues that led me to seek holistic healing practices like Hypnotherapy, Energy Healing and Plant Medicine.
It changed my life.
For the first time ever, I began to learn how to tap into myself, understand and heal my triggers, while being divinely guided to bring awareness and elevate the holistic healing business that made an impact in my spiritual awakening and healing journey, with accessible marketing support.
Through this spiritual awakening, I have felt called to my ancestral roots, and guided to deepen and share my training and practices in Yoga, Reiki, Sound Healing, Shadow Work, Shamanic Healing. resulting in starting two businesses: Divine Pearl Collective & New Earth Dreamz.
